Stanhope Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Stanhope Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a premium spirit that bridges Scottish heritage with American craftsmanship, born from a collaboration between Glasgow-based Artisan Spirits and the Owensboro Distilling Co. in Kentucky. Inspired by the 1879 legacy of Peter Holmes—a Scottish carriage builder who mastered his craft in the U.S.—the bottle features a design of the "Stanhope Carriage" Peter Holmes once pioneered. This small-batch bourbon is aged in new American white oak with a heavy "alligator" char, producing a rich toffee-coloured whiskey. It offers a complex profile of caramelized pineapple, toasted nuts, and charred oak on the nose, followed by a palate of tropical fruits, burnt sugar, and spicy black pepper.
